Karate Kid - Verdyllan Nurendra Agusta

The story is about a boy named Dre who moved from United States to Bejing, China, with her mother, Sherry because her mother had job relocation. There, he met a beautiful student called Mei Ying, an annoying boy called Cheng, and Mr. Han, a mechanic in his residential area, who helped him train kung fu. In Beijing, Dre trained everyday to beat Cheng in the Kung Fu Tournament in order to make Cheng stop disturbing him. Near the end of the tournament, he received severe injuries on his legs. But, he decided not to give up and beat Cheng in the final round. Finally, Dre won the competition, Cheng gave the trophy to Dre and all of Master Li's students bowed to Mr. Han.

From this movie, we can learn that we must always try and never give up, kung fu is for self defense, not for harming people, and last but not least, we have full control over our life.

Karate Kid : Chatherine Grace

1.  What is the story about?
Dre Parker was a 12 year old boy who was the only son of a widow named Sherry Parker who lived in the city of Detroit. Dre moved to Beijing, China because her mother got a job there. Dre was indeed fortunate, that Dre can meet the pretty violinist and student named Mei Ying. It gave rise to a sense of envy from other student called Cheng, with great kung fu skill. As a result, Dre was always bullied by Cheng and his friends.
Mr. Han tried to solve the problem between Dre and Cheng with peace. Mr. Han and Dre came to the place Cheng practiced kung fu with Master Li, then asked Cheng and Master Li to make peace. But, their good intention was rejected by Master Li. Dre was threatened to be plagued by Cheng and his friends , except if Dre was willing to fight with Cheng in a Kung Fu tournament. There was no other choice, and Dre was forced to practice kungfu with Mr. Han.
The awaited moment finally arrived. The Kung Fu tournament began. Cheng and Dre were equally good, so both of them were qualified for the semifinals. Cheng beat his semi-final opponent, so if Dre could defeat his opponent in the semifinals, he will meet Cheng in the final.
In the semifinals, Master Li ordered his disciples to make Dre injured so he that could not appear in the final against Cheng. As a result, Dre had severe injuries. Disciple of Master Li was disqualified but severe injuries threatened Dre could not go ahead in the final. Fortunately with the help of traditional medicine, Mr. Han healed Dre so that he can appear in the final against Cheng. Dre and Cheng were equally strong, they collect the same scores in the final. Master Li ordered Cheng to attack Dre's foot to worsen his injuries. But Dre never give up, even just standing with one leg, he could beat Cheng with a unique kung fu technique.

2.  What can you learn from the story?
Don't ever give up before trying and always uplifting to achieve dreams. Try everything possible to escape from the problem, work hard, positive thinking is the best way to deal with a problem that could make the damage to yourself and others. Confidence is the conviction that would make a loss of fear with a case or issue that could disrupt and impede the course of life.

Karate Kid - Devasya Nathania Kamilla

THE ANCIENT COIN

About a month ago, my family and I went to the beach for a family gathering event. When my brothers and I was playing around the beach, suddenly, I felt something different and a bit itchy on my foot. So, I immediately checked it. It turned out to be an ancient coin used by ancient people for economic transaction. I took it and put it inside my jeans’ pocket.
The next day, I told my parents about the ancient coin I found in the beach and they said it’s okay for me to save it. In the afternoon, we went back to home and I felt like “Oh My God! I can’t believe that I own a historical coin”.
On the way back to home, I was thinking about the safest place to store precious things in my house. When I arrived at home, I immediately saved that coin in a box under my bed, and nobody knew where the coin was kept. I was really happy at that time.

THE DEATH OF THE BABY BEAR

About a year ago, my family and I went to Balikpapan. We visited the Sun Bear Conservatory. That evening, I was walking through a bridge with gates. I was looking for the honey bears. Suddenly, I saw a little girl pointing toward a dead baby bear with a ridiculous look. I told the little girl to go back to her mom. After the little girl left, I looked around the dead bear. I was shocked, because I saw a very big mushroom. I assumed that the bear died because of consuming that strange mushroom. I told my mom and the officer in the security office. Then, the officer checked the location of the dead bear and told my mom and I that everything will be alright.
The next day, I bought a newspaper and started to read it. I was so excited, because my name was mentioned in headline section of the newspaper. The headline today was about the strange mushroom. My assumption was right! The bear died because the bear ate the mushroom which contains poison. In the end of the news, the police ordered the conservatory's gardener to exterminate the mushroom. I was so glad to read that. I hope there will be no more death of bears caused by poisonous mushroom.

CHAOS ABOARD THE PLANE

A month ago, my sister and I were aboard Transpacific Air Flight 5701 from Seattle to Jakarta. It was a perfectly normal day. Because Transpacific Air is a low cost airline, we had to walk into the airplane and enter the airplane using a metal stair.  While waiting, my sister and I sat on our seat in the business class section of the cabin.
20 minutes later, the metal stair was detached. While the 747-400 "Queen of the Skies" was taxiing through the taxiway, I saw a small hole in the fuselage section of the airplane near my seat. At that time, I was very scared, because a small hole on the fuselage section of an airplane will cause a rapid decompression on the cabin which may lead to the breaking up of the airplane's structure. I asked one of the flight attendants to check the hole.
A few minutes later, the flight attendant whom I asked to check the hole entered the cockpit section of the aircraft, and after several seconds, came back into the cabin and told us to get out of the airplane as soon as the airplane arrived at the gate. When the airplane arrived at the gate, everyone rushed to the exit. The cabin was full of chaos. As I was about to to walk into the door, I tripped over a black box near my seat. When I looked closely at it, I knew that it was a bomb. I ran quickly outside the airplane and told one of the flight attendants about the bomb. After that, the passengers were told to exit the aircraft faster and a few minutes later, all passengers were inside the airport.
Everyone said thanks to me for letting all of them know that there was a bomb inside the airplane and a hole on the airplane's fuselage. Well, the flight was cancelled and we had to wait for another flight. But, if the flight was not cancelled, what will happen to 500 passengers aboard Flight 5701? Anyway, I was so happy and my sister and I walked around the airport to look for lunch.

AN UNEXPECTED EVENT

Last week, I was walking home from my friend's home. Suddenly, I saw a white envelope in front of the door. I opened the envelope. Inside the envelope, there was a brochure. Then, I read the brochure that contains information about MotoGP riders in the circuit. I went to the circuit to check whether it is true or not.
On the way, there was someone suspicious who followed me to the circuit. I immediately called the police to keep an eye on him. After, I called the police, I realized that he's a villain. He started chasing me, I ran quickly and tried to find a safe place to hide. Shortly afterwards, the police came to arrest him and thanked me.
After that, I continued my trip to meet a MotoGP rider in the circuit. In the circuit, I was looking for my favorite rider, named Marc Marquez. He's a young MotoGP rider. He was only 20 years old and his future is very bright. That's why I idolize him. After I found him, I took pictures with him and he gave me a little experience. I was very happy and I will never forget this experience.

THE LOST PACKAGE

About a week ago, I was walking with my sister at the park near my home. Suddenly, I saw three small children who were digging in the grass. They found something, and they were looking at it. It was a brown paper box. When I looked at it, I knew immediately that is was a package! We were very scared.
First, I told the children that it wasn't dangerous. It was just a package. Fortunately, they believed me. So, I grabbed the package and opened it. Apparently, inside the package, there was a very interesting magazine. I saw a magazine with a very amazing cover. The magazine is LOOKS! LOOKS is my favorite magazine. Fifteen minutes later, the three small children was nowhere to be found and I was very excited. Then, I went home with my sister.
The next day, I told to my mother that I found a package at the park. She explained, that the package I found in the park is the one she's been looking for since yesterday. I asked her about the magazine,  whether it is important or not. If it was not important, I would like to have the magazine. But she said it was very important and she said thanks to me for finding it. She was very happy and grateful because the package was found. Because of that, my mother will cook my favorite foods. I was very excited and my family and I had a very special lunch that day.

Intelligence: Kukuh Prasetyo

I think I’ve good ‘visual intelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence’ because I’m not bad at drawing and calculations. At school, my best subjects are Art and Maths. I love drawing because when I was 4 years old I could draw a car in 3D and I could remember a picture in a moment and I drew it back well. But now I’m confused, why do my parents can’t draw well like me? Ok forget it for a moment. Well, I like Maths because my logic work well everytime I solve a math problem. Moreover, I think I’ve good ‘body intelligence’ because I’m quite good at soccer for my class. Thus, I’ve got good body intelligence, too!      I’m not really good at languages, because it’s difficult for me to memorise, speak, and read new words and understand the grammar. It’s evident when BIMA. Because my recitation is left  behind from my friend. Until  now, I don’t know how to memorize it well and easily.    When I finish school, I’d like to be an architect. I think I could be good at this job because I’m good at designing and Maths. My parents agree about my future. Thus, if it is true I don’t have to speak a foreign language! Amen...

Intelligence: Naura Dwiputi Cahyaningrum

I think I’ve got body, verbal, and interpersonal intelligence. In school, I like sport and theoritical subjects. I like sport because its good for our body. And I like theoritical subjects because I like to read books. I also like to comment other people, like their performance or the other. Yeah, although my performances are bad too. In my free time, I like listening to music, cooking, and sleeping.
I’m not really good at maths, physics, or economic. I'm not good at those subjects because I can’t easily solve math, physic, or economic problems. Because those subjects make me feel dizzy, sometimes I got a bad score. I can’t easily understand the formulas, and I'm not really interested with those subjects.
I want to be a consultant or a doctor, because I like to talk to other people and I want to make friends with them. I also want to help poor people from their sufferings. I also
think the salary is probably enough for my daily life.

Intelligence: Verdyllan Nurendra Agusta

I think I’ve got good logical-mathematical intelligence, because I’m quite good at calculating numbers. I’ve got good marks in my best subjects, mathematics and physics. I like playing piano in my spare time, so perhaps I’ve got good musical intelligence, too! I’m also good at languages, such as, when I am in a reading comprehension test, I often get good scores. I’m also good at writing essays and deliver speeches in front of the public. Because of that, I think I’ve got a good verbal intelligence.
However, nothing’s perfect in this world. Everything has its weaknesses or drawbacks. I’m not very good at sport. I always get bad scores in sport. It’s hard for me to play several sports, such as basketball, and soccer. But, I like playing baseball. So, maybe, I’ve got a bit awful sport intelligence. I’m not good at drawing and getting along with people quickly, too. I frequently get bad scores at drawing and painting lessons in my school. In conclusion, I have a bad visual and interpersonal intelligence.
When I graduate from university, I’d like to be a researcher or a scientist who invents something useful for people. I think I will excel at this job because I am good at Mathematics and speaking foreign languages. Also, researchers or scientists don’t have to be good at sport subject.

Intelligence: Chatherine Grace Maulina

I think I've got amazing and excellent "musical intelligence" because I'm really nice at showing sensitivity to melody and sound, for example, and I love singing. At school, my best subjects are Maths and Art. I'm quite good to doing Maths problems and I love drawing, like drawing an abstract. So, perhaps I've got good visual and logical intelligence, too!
Usually, I study with music in the background, play an instrument, notice non verbal sounds in the environment and learn more easily if it is sung or tapped out. I appreciate the composition. I'm gifted with the ability to sing and play instruments. I maybe able to recognize sounds and tones. I have a "good ear" for music. I learn best through lectures and often use music as a way to memorize things.
I'm not very good at languages - it's difficult for me to use words effectively and understand the grammar. However, I have great memory for lyrics of songs. I'm not good at science, too! I don't get awesome marks at Biology, but I am good at Physics. Sometimes, it's inverted.
When I finish school, I'd like to be a professional singer. I think, I could be fabulous at this job because I always enjoy improvising and playing with sounds, like using artistic vocabulary and notations of music, analyzing, and selecting antique musical instruments, and recognize different musical styles, genres, and cultural variations. Sometimes, I play background music for various activities and different moods in the classroom. I want to learn more about dances and explore different music around the world.

I think I'm quite good at solving problem and making story. So, I think I have Logical-Mathematical Intelligence and Verbal Intelligence.
I realize that I have Logical-Mathematical since I was in elementary school. At that moment, I looked at my school report and I realize that I had the highest score in mathematics than in the other subjects. I totally like math since i joined KUMON, a math course that based on Japan method. I really enjoy when doing Maths problem while sometimes its quite hard. Beside of that, i like solving problem too. I like to play problem solving games for example, detective, etc.
I think I have Verbal Intelligence too. I like words but I don't really like to write story about Anime, just not write I like to read story about Anime too. I always write and read it from http://www.fanfiction.net This previous holiday, I spent half of my holiday to read it. I like words, but my score in languages is average. Luckily the score is not below the target that school made. But, after all, I still like words when its time to make a story, while I'm always bad at grammar.
I'm not very good at body intelligence because I can't do any sport very good. I always hate when the sport subject is to start. I always think that sport is such a boring thing. Maybe I can do it well if i do it for my report.
In the future I hope I can be a dentist. I know it is very deviate from my intelligence but that's my wish since I was a kid. I wanna be a dentist so I can help many people during their sickness. I really wanna be a dentist, but if the worst thing come and I will not be a dentist maybe I will be a novelist or the worst thing I'll work at a place that work by counting something. The important thing is I will not be an athlete. I really wanna be a dentist so I will study hard from now so I can be a dentist later.
